I was born & raised in Mobile, Alabama. I finished high school at St. Paul’s Episcopal High School. Then, I started college at Birmingham-Southern College in the honors program. Later, I transferred to the University of Alabama, where I thrived academically. I was on the President’s List & in the English Honor Society during this time. In the 90s, I took the Crimson Tide rugby team to the East Coast playoffs. This was the first time in the team's history.
