Prior to starting his own firm he was a director and shareholder in the Farmington office of the Miller Stratvert P.A.law firm. Dorene Kuffer is the senior and principle attorney with over 34 years practicing all aspects of family law in New Mexico and Illinois.

Dorene earned an LL.M. (an advanced law degree) in Child and Family Law from Loyola University, Chicago School of Law. In Illinois, Dorene handled cases ranging from traffic, misdemeanor, felony and death penalty cases, to divorce, custody, adoption, business litigation and contract disputes. She was also an adjunct professor at Loyola University teaching family law to graduate level students.
