Edward L. Powell is an attorney in Winston-Salem, NC. He is the Yadkin County Attorney and the Town Attorney of Kernersville, NC and has a private law practice. He is the former Commissioner of the NC Department of Motor Vehicles and served in the State House of Representatives and as a member of the NC Board of Transportation. I am a graduate of DePaul University College of Law. After law school, I moved to Colorado and worked as a public defender for several years. Through this experience, I gained extensive advocacy skills and learned to effectively fight for my clients’ rights. In 2006, I relocated to Washington, D.C. to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs on the Board of Veterans Appeals (Board). During this time, I developed a passion for helping Veterans. Brandon double-majored in Political Science and Criminal Justice at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He earned his Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida.
