Nina grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, attended the University of Northern Iowa and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Nina later attended Drake University Law School where she gained practical experience interning for Iowa Legal Aid and as a student attorney/mediator at the Drake Legal Clinic.
