I enlisted in the US Army at a young age and served as a Cavalry Scout (19D), with deployments in Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Ft. Banning, GA. During my time in the military, I climbed the ranks and was accepted into the Officer Candidate School. I was born and raised in Sanford, Maine. Later, I attended Maine Maritime Academy (1983 Engineering), and worked at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Design Division (Code 260) on nuclear aircraft carriers. Next, I attended Vermont Law School where I graduated with honors.
