I began practicing law in Lufkin, Texas in 1994. I represent clients in Social Security Disability / SSI claims, family and probate matters, and criminal defense. I primarily practice in Angelina, Nacogdoches, Houston, Trinity, and Polk Counties, but will occasionally travel to other areas, depending upon the needs of the client.

Sherry D Tavel has been licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas since 1989. She is board certified in Residential Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization with the State Bar of Texas. She has worked for the Texas Attorney General in the Child Support Division as Managing Attorney. Sherry has owned and managed Chicago Title Company in Deer Park, Texas.
