Lawrence J. McClafferty is a trial and appellate lawyer concentrating on civil litigation, particularly with respect to business torts, contract disputes, and issues arising out of commercial and real estate transactions. Of special note is his extensive experience with disputes involving homeowners associations and condominiums.

Commercial practice focuses on business litigation and transactions, with an emphasis on real property, condemnation, unfair competition, business tort, contractual and conservation easement matters.

A retired Marine Corps Officer, Mr. Francescon graduated Magna cum Laude from the George Mason University School of Law in December 2003. His practice areas include criminal defense, traffic offenses, uncontested divorces, guardian ad litem for incapacitated individuals and business law. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

William Walsh is an associate at McCandlish & Lillard, P.C. His practice areas include business law, real estate, and civil litigation. Admitted to practice before the Courts of Virginia and the District of Columbia, Mr. Walsh is a member of the Virginia Bar Association and Fairfax Bar Association.

Robert H.J. Loftus is a principal of McCandlish & Lillard and graduated from the University of Virginia Law School in 1973. His practice has focused on business litigation, and he has successfully litigated numerous complex business and liability issues for nationally recognized companies. Recently, he successfully defended a government contracting company from raiding claims, defended a bank from a multimillion dollar mechanics lien claims against a loan asset, won a defense verdict in a conspiracy claim against a software company's general counsel, prevailed in a dispute over founders’ shares in a European telecommunications company, defended a medical practice from fraudulent...

Laura Golden Liff joined McCandlish & Lillard, P.C. as a summer associate in 2009 and became a full-time associate in 2010. Her primary practice area is civil litigation, with representative experience in the areas of commercial, business and fiduciary matters, as well as domestic relations, medical malpractice defense, and workers compensation. Ms. Liff has experience managing litigation case teams from their inception through trial and on appeal. Significant representations include her integral role in a fiduciary litigation team that obtained a multi-million dollar judgment for the client.

Ms. Campbell joined McCandlish & Lillard, P.C. as an Associate in 2012. She is licensed to practice before all state courts in Virginia and Maryland, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Ms. Campbell's primary practice areas are civil litigation, business law and land use. She formerly served as Counsel and Director of Projects to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott.
