Jeremy concentrates in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, workers' compensation, social security and medical malpractice. After 15 years with other firms, I started my own law practice in 2004. I am a disability lawyer practicing before the N.C. Industrial Commission and the Social Security Administration.

I am a civil litigation attorney and have litigated cases since 1998, with first chair trial experience. In my career, I have pursued and defended wrongful death claims, traumatic brain injury claims, minor to severe automobile injury claims, sovereign and governmental immunity claims, inadequate security claims, nursing home/elder abuse claims, and trucking litigation. I also have extensive District Court criminal defense experience, have tried workers' compensation hearings, and argued to the Full Industrial Commission. I have deposed accident reconstruction experts, economists, life care planners, and medical experts, as well as lay witnesses.

I am of counsel with the Kellum Law Firm, which has ten offices in North Carolina. I am also a NC DRC-certified mediator. Prior to working for Kellum, I was self-employed in mediation, and prior to that I was a Special Deputy Commissioner at the North Carolina Industrial Commission. I have 16 years' of experience primarily in worker's comp law. I am also conversational in Spanish and am happy to represent Spanish-speaking clients as well as to conduct bilingual mediations. Laura graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina in 1997. During law school, Laura was on the Law Review, was active in the American Trial Lawyers Association trial competition, and received other academic honors.
